Valentine's Day Cards

With V-day coming up, I decided to make a bunch of cards for this occasion.

The card below was made with scrap papers, ribbon, and acrylic lettering. I inked the edges to give it an antique look and put puff pieces behind the hearts to give it more dimension.

This next card (below), I used these glossy heart stickers to make a flower and used a fabric sticker for the center. I used ribbon to make the stem and leaves of the flower. I created the bee out of puff pieces and used a sharpy to make the black lines. I cut small pieces of wire to make the antennas. The bee's wings were made from this clear silk flower. Once again, I used puff pieces to give the flower petals dimension.

This next card (below), I made by using my leftover pink swirly twirly border. I painted the chipboard circle with pink ink chalk, and then placed a fabric sticker on top. I used 3 different types of ribbon overall. I added the rhinestones to jazz up the card.

This next card (below) looks simple, but it actually took a really long time to do. The big flower is chipboard. I painted it pink and then put this thing on it to make it shiny. I took a long time to try. The heart is also made of chipboard. I added those beads to give the page texture. I wrote the xoxo in red and added the fabric embellishment to it.

This next card is one of my favorites (below). I used puff pieces to raise the patterned paper on the card. I rounded the edges and inked all edges in a light pink ink chalk. Then I cut the 2 flower petals out to make a heart. I attached the flower with a big baby blue round bag. I used rub ons for the letters.

This next card started out with me practicing my stamping. The leaves of the flower are a stamp. I used two different flowers and held them down with an antique brad. I also used antique brads for more texture. The xoxo are rub ons. Of course, I also used puff pieces to raise the picture on the card.

This last card was tiring to make. The flowers are actually rub ons, but they took forever to put on because they would not rub on. The U and ME are acrylic letters and they are actually red. I added brownish gold rhinestones to give the card more details. I finished on the card with a green ribbon that has flowers on it.

I need to learn to be more efficient because these cards took a few days to make.
